Research & Development

The primary genetic selections are administrated and controlled by HPB.

CPI's Research & Development Department has the important task to carry R & D forwards from that point on, to ensure the product lives up to its expected genetic potential and customer's expectations.

Therefore CPI's research is mainly focused on the adaptability of our products in various environments and management styles to optimize the results of our products for the maximum benefits of our customers.

To gain the greatest amount of information in an unbiased way, CPI conducts their research using all of the following methods.

• General feed back from customers
• Specific feed back on contracted research projects with customers.
• In-house testing on our own farms
• Our laboratory where we can conduct various tests on egg quality etc.
• Close collaboration with the University of Georgia.
• Close collaboration with NC State University.
• A collaboration agreement with Auburn University.

Our ultimate goal is to gain the most comprehensive knowledge of critical management requirements (as house density, lighting, nutrition and vaccination programs to name a few) for our layers. Ultimately all specific results are carefully analyzed and processed.

This information is then used and/or shared:

• by our marketing- and service staff with customer visits.
• in various seminars.
• in technical bulletins.
• in the latest updates of the BOVANS, DEKALB and HISEX North American edition management guides.
