Founded in 2001 by the legendary Henry Saglio who started breeding modern day meat chickens the way we know them today with the Arbor Acres and Avian broiler breeds. He was a pioneer with a vision leading to the development of the Pure Line Genetics (PLG) branded broilers based on a breeding program without the use of anti biotics. In 2008 the assets and trade names of Pure Line Genetics were acquired by Centurion Poultry, Inc.. Ever since we are faithful to the goals Henry set in motion by continuing the breeding program without antibiotics being part of the genetic selection program. Since its acquisition we have added several new products to cater to a rapid changing market in which the consumer plays a key role in determining the direction we take in developing the “food chickens of the future” .
